Borrowdale hidden pearl of the English Lake District

Xirin's free picture guide to Borrowdale and dedicated search engine for walks, accommodation and everything you need for an interesting break.   Welcome to Borrowdale, our favourite place. A place to think, to dream, to relax and unwind.  A land so green that the moss even grows on south facing stone walls.  Cut off by the Jaws of Borrowdale to the north and the Honister Pass to the south it is a mystical land.  A land that mobile phone and TV signals do not reach!  Once the bed of a glacial lake it forms a sheltered retreat in the middle of the Cumbriam Mountains.

Park your car and forget it. There is a weeks walking from where ever you stay and what ever is your standard.
