 River Derwent
Walk from Rosthwaite along the River Derwent to Grange on the opposite side to the road. Just
above Grange the river opens out
into wide flat shallows. Sit by the water's edge and watch the stream glide past in the sunshine. Carry onto Grange and have an ice
cream or a hot mug of tea depending on the weather.
